In this day and age, there seems to be more and more people afflicted with an increasing number of illnesses, intolerances, and mysterious issues that we just don’t understand.

Gut health can be a real bummer if it’s not going well. And because our food contains such a huge range of stuff, it’s incredibly hard to know what the problem is.

Enter FODMAP.

There are a few groups of food out there that are known to be common irritants… and therefore are key candidates for people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) to avoid. Some people find their crux is lactose, and go dairy-free. For some people it’s gluten. And sometimes, when you just can’t figure out what it is, you need to go FODMAP.

FODMAP is an acronym for Fermentable Oligo-saccharides, Disaccharides, Mono-saccharides and Polyols, which on a high level means “stuff that’s likely to upset you” (the “fermentable” part is a dead giveaway there), and which we’ve explained in more detail on this page.

Living life following a FODMAP diet is hard, especially because it can be really difficult to know what’s right for your body, and what isn’t. With this site, we hope to provide a one-stop shop for advice that will help you get by.
